WARFARE GONE WACKO
Part two

I have noticed that this mentality exists in certain types of people. One type of person is the woman who is very embittered and feels powerless because of a lack of control and power in her life. They are angry because they cannot be the authority in the home that has been delegated by God to the man of the household. Therefore, the feeling of power they receive by the casting out of demons fulfills a power hungry mentality that is inside of their spirit. Some are bitterly divorced due to their charades and antics that lead to such actions as judging their husbands as demon possessed when their husband tried to control the home. Most of these women try to find demons to cast out and claim to be able to sense every manifestation of demons, especially concerning the evil spirit of Jezebel, while at the same time, actually manifest Jezebel character traits (sensual, hatred of male authority or men in general, charismatic witchcraft, controlling, manipulative, ambitious, control freak, etc.) to gain more power and control in their environment. They can quote "The Three Battlegrounds" and "Pigs In The Parlor" better than scripture.

Another target is the man who leads worship. The same mentalities of control and submission can be manifested in the songs he sings. These types are very effeminate in nature and their qualities are usually not industrious and mechanical in nature. Let us look at the typical musician in a church, if he or she cannot play music in a church, they usually do not choose to attend that church. In some praise and worship teams, everyone within that team is striving internally to become to worship leader instead of submitting to the present authority ordained by God. You can easily find a change in musicians where one musician has the chance to lead music at another church.

In a church that emphasizes itself as a warfare church, the five percent of the scriptures that deal with this topic become the one hundred percent teachings of the church. The other ninety-five percent of the scriptures would either be ignored or re-interpreted to enhance the view of spiritual warfare. For example, a church that has a centralized ministry of spiritual warfare would probably teach the scriptures that had only to do with warfare. Their music primarly consists of chrouses that deal only with the Blood of Jesus and slaying the enemy (Satan). Usually these songs carry a common theme of "Satan, you're a rat fink and we are going to destroy you". A sermon about the prodigal son or the great commission, if preached, would not be presented in proper context, but with a slant towards spiritual warfare. The focus shifts from to worshipping Jesus Christ and the things He has done to worshipping the enriched God-given revelation. The teaching becomes the God instead of God being God. William Shakesphere once said "All the world's a Stage". Unfortunately, in this type of environment, "THE STAGE BECAME THE WORLD". When our viewpoint of our world is only from the serenity of the sanctuary, we become deluded as to what is true Godly authority, true Biblical techniques and interpretations, and measuring true impact of our actions. The focus of studying the word becomes so focused on that one teaching that the other teachings and words of Jesus almost becomes non-existent or re-interpreted to enhance and promote their focused teaching. Usually, these people only watch teachers on TBN that only preach spiritual warfare. Missionaries, prophets, other pastors, and evangelists are seen as inferior unless their gifts can be used to enhance their cause of warfare.

Our forefathers solved these problems by approaching everything according to the Word of God. They went after the sin that was in the hearts of the citizens of their cities. Today, we tend to go after the people and fight the people instead of fighting the sin. We have become like Don Quixote. We chase windmills instead of the real enemies of God. When all the time, God tries to be like Rocinate (Don Quixote's horse) knowing where to go to fight. Today, we have grossly mistaken spiritual pride for arrogance, spiritual humility for conceit, and spiritual ambition for self-centered vision.

There are some today who have come to a realization (through asking the disturbing questions about the real impact of this war) that no matter how hard they screamed, how fast they shouted the catch phrazes, their lives are empty. The pep rallies that they once enjoyed left them deluded, defeated, and nothing to show for in the heavenlies. Because of a flippant attempt of fighting a real war, many lives have been devastated. The victory felt in prayer failed to get implemented in daily life. They had to see the increase in evil running rampant in our cities while their warfare teachers lived in the ivory towers with the security guard guarding the main entrance to their condominium. They had to see drug dealings on their street corners. They had to see prostitution flaunted in front of their children. They had to see their childrens friends get killed in by a fellow hurt and abused classmate with a pistol in his knapsack. While the preacher they supported lives in the protected ivory tower, sends his kid to private Christian school, and never drives his Lexus in those "lower-class" neighborhoods unless the highway leading to the next seminar runs through these red-light districts.

There is a real war. There is a real enemy. If the church does not see this, then we have spiritual Vietnam. An enemy underestimated in might and tactic, an ememy in camoflauge (wolves in sheeps clothing among sheep), and countless lives via wounded soldiers wasted and left for dead unable to see their fullest potential manifest. In this era of history, the politicians thought they were the U.S. Army and therefore became the Army. The war was fought in Congress by self-proclaimed experts and consultants instead of being fought by the gifted and trained men on the battlefield. Spiritual warfare has gone in the same direction, instead of the annointed, gifted and Godly trained Army of God fighting the battles, the internal Church has played politics by saying that only certain "political" leaders within the church can be the only ones doing warfare because of the fact that they went to a quickie seminar hosted by some known "expert" and "consultant". In both cases, people refuse to put their trust in the establishments that had control over the situations at hand. In the physical, government (a so-called representative of the people turned representative of the special-interest groups) is now sneered and it's authority mocked. In the spiritual, the church (a representative of Jesus that sometimes turned into representative of the "special-interests" groups that claim the name of God) is now mocked and it's impact on the people almost dead. The scars from yesterday instilled the anger and fear of today to the point of a people refusing to fight when fighting was necessary. We go from one extreme of calling everything a demon to the other extreme of denying the presence of demons in our lives. There has to be an inherent balance implemented in order to properly defeat the true enemies and advance the kingdom of God to truly storm the gates of hell, taking the kingdom by force, and see the results and change having a impact on out hearts, families, cities, nations and our world.

In Mark 5:1-20, Acts 16:16-18, and Mark 1:21-28, there are stories about how Jesus (and Paul in Acts) dealt with demons and performed warfare. In Mark 5:2,6 and in Mark 1:23, there are the words "a man in the synagogue possessed by an evil spirit cried out" and "a man with an evil spirit came out to meet him" and "When he saw Jesus at a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him". In Acts 16:16, the verse reads "... we were met by a slave girl who had an evil spirit...". I find these points very interesting. The church of today has been taught to be so proactive, offensive, and militant warriors to the point of going out and finding the demons. But the scriptures clearly shows us that Jesus and Paul DID NOT! go out looking for demons. The scriptures clearly tells us that the demons came out to Jesus and Paul. Therefore, one who claims that everyone is to go out on the offensive to find demons is unscriptual. When a Child of God is so annointed in the Holy Spirit and blessed by God, he or she does not have to go looking for demons. The demons are so stupid enough to go out and APPROACH the annointed children of God and manifest their demonic activity in front of them.

Yes, the demonic activity was set forth to try to stop the move of God in a City. But if demons were smart, why would they want to approach an annointed believer. Logic would dictate to us that demons would be better off manifesting their deeds away from any anointed Child of God. All Jesus and Paul actually did was to go to those places God told them to go in order to do the will of the Father. It was doing the will of God by advancing the Kingdom and it's principles that were in the hearts of Jesus and Paul. Jesus and Paul did not go to those cities where God told them in an offensive mode specifically looking for demonic activity to manifest. While some Christians go out to look for the manifestations and go looking for territorial spirits to attack, they went to teach to the people and especially edify the Body of believers in those cities.

The seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:13-16 tried an offensive approach to casting out demons. Verse 13, especially the NIV stated that they "went around driving out evil spirits". Therefore their mentality from town to town was "Let's find evil spirits to cast out". That was their only motive here, not seeking first the kingdom of God and edifying the believers In fact they could not even have power because the scriptures said that they were Jews, and not part of the Body of Christ.

In those same texts, all Jesus said was for the demon to come out of the person. The King James Version of the Bible shows this in a normal tone of voice as well as the Greek texts. We as Christians, are far too guilty of thinking that we have to shout very loud, say thousands of tongues and dance all over the carpet in warfare. If we are the so-called annointed of God, kings and priests, claim that the Holy Spirit lives in our bodies (the temple), and constantly quote the verse "All power has been given to Me...", then why do we have to show our insecurity by shouting, constant tongues, and dancing? Jesus and Paul were so confident of the authority they had that they only had to speak the words. I recently was fellowshipping with a friend who had just read the Smith Wigglesworth biography. He showed me the portions where Wigglesworth had gotten to the point of annointing and confidence of who he was in Christ that all he had to do was to whisper "In the name of Jesus, come out". Amazing. It is NOT the loud shouts, NOT the talking of tongues, NOT any buzz words, our compassed spiritual cartography techniques, catch phrazes, and techniques invented, and NOT the dancing on the carpet that can cast out demons. It is the POWER of the name of Jesus and the blood shed for our sins at Calvary that gives every true Christian, whether timid or boisterous, the authority to heal the sick, cleanse the leper, cast out demons, and tread over scorpions and serpents. The seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:13-16 tried to use the name of Jesus without having the "born again" experience manifested in their lives and therefore, not having the authority of Jesus inside of them.

In summary, there are plenty of verses that deal with proper spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6 discusses the spiritual armor of God. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. Unfortunately, some people teach that their carnal weapons of quickie seminars are the true weapons. The Bible is our only clear source to teach us about warfare. This is a real war. For more information on this subject, read the second page of my article "VIVAL". Lives are on the balance. Souls hang on the grips of our actions. It is been time to quit playing spiritual NATO excercises of church between church and unite in the Biblical teachings of unity to come forth and fight demonic activity when the demonic activity approaches us manifesting evil. Let us not sit around, but go forth obeying the Scriptures by advancing Kingdom principles of saving the lost, healing the sick, reaching out to out decaying cities, etc, but at the same time be ready to fight when needed. We as Christians, must get to the point of knowing our true authority in Jesus (not the cocky brash authority some peddle around) that all we have to do is say the words "In the Name of Jesus, evil spirit come out" in a normal tone of voice. It is all about Jesus, his power, his victory over sin, death, hell, and the grave. Everyone who is a Christian has this authority of Jesus to do exploits for the glory of God.

Lord, right now in the name of Jesus, I ask that this article will soak in and shed some of your glorious light to a topic that has been misinterpreted, abused, and toyed with. This was very hard for me to write as well as to receive. I ask that the viewers would be blessed by this article and that they will take these truths and go forth advancing your kingdom. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!
