1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. 7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. 8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. 9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. 10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

If we look at verse 11, we see that the entire Old Testament as detailed in the earlier verses of 1 Corinthians 10 was used to show that "these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition (warning), upon whom the ends of the world are come." Note that the Word says "examples" and not "scare and intimidation tactics". In many churches, the Old Testament (and some of the New Testament) is taught as the examples to warn us. But many of these churches go beyond the example and warning stages and try to use these verses to scare, fear, and intimidate people into personal agendas. How? It is very simple. Many stories of the Old and New Testament are force-fed to today's standards. Here are some actual real statements (and you can probably think of some more) from church sermons I personally experienced, statements made in Christian forums about spiritual abuse, and / or e-mails to my web page:

• Well, twenty people left the church, we are purifying the remnant church, getting rid of the 'Great Satans and Judasses', pruning the branches from the vine, raising up "Gideon's Army", building "Nehemiah's walls", and we got rid of "Sin in the Camp". Those people who leave are now "out of God's will", "are no longer protected by the providence of God", "will now be cursed with sickness, famine, poverty, and disease", "their children and next four generations will become addicted to drugs and alcohol and be sexually promiscuous." and will "miss the rapture". Also, wait and see that six months from now, the 'deliverance' that Johnny received from cocaine has now been removed and you will see Johnny addicted to cocaine again because he left the 'spiritual covering' by refusing to 'lock in' with the Holy Spirit.
• Sister so-and-so and her husband both have the flu not because the viral bug is sweeping the nation. They have the flu because they expressed their disagreement with the Pastor's sermon and complained and murmured about the 'so-called' poor worship performed by the Pastor's daughter, therefore Hallelujah thank you Jesus, God has exposed the "Miriam" and "Aaron" in our midst and dealt with them accordingly.
• Sister Flossie died at 82 in her sleep of natural causes. Our condolences go out to her family. However, she's gone to Glory but bless God, the Moses generation of hymns had to go and the Joshua generation of praise and worship songs will now arise, as we cross the Spiritual Jordan river and enter our promise land. (When Sister Flossie was 20 back in 1940, she was deemed 'the Joshua generation' and Flossie's grandmother was 'the Moses generation'. If this was the case and to view this in logistical senses, then at what time did the name of the 'Joshua' generation have it's spiritual name changed to Moses? If you look at the Scriptures, Moses was named Moses from his birth to his death and Joshua was named Joshua from his birth until his death. But based on this Joshua generation teaching, we would have to change the name of the Joshua Generation to the Moses Generation when the new generation was born.)
• We are poor because someone in our congregation did not pay their tithes. Our leadership took the tithe envelopes of all families paying tithes and compared them to the list of all families who are members of the church and have concluded that there are people who are not paying their tithes [Note, to complain about this would be seen as 'murmuring' per Scripture while leadership holds a double standard by 'taking a census" (re: 1 Chronicles 21) that was blasted in Scripture] and are robbing God's storehouse. There are "Judases" who care about their thirty pieces of silver than their God and we wonder why we can not save enough money to expand our building and when we do make progress, the pipes burst, the roof leaks, and the air conditioner breaks. It's simple, some Judases have disobeyed God by robbing God of their tithes and these curses of broken plumbing, etc. are now on us and will remain on us until every member of this congregation starts to pay their tithes. In fact, the Lord has called for us to do a congregational repentance of the 'Judas' spirit next Sunday. The Lord has instructed every member to bring forth thirty pieces of silver coins and put it in the plate as a sign of repentance.
• There are "Absaloms and Korahs" in this church that want to usurp my authority. They better repent or God will smite thee down.
• You are sick with the flu due to 'secret sin' issues at work in your life. The reason why the pastor's daughter has a stomach tumor is because every demon in hell is attacking the anointed man of God.
• Beware of that "Delilah" in the short skirt who sits in the pew in front of you. That short skirt shows rebellion, a spirit of prostitution, and a whoremonger and her short skirts cause sex.
• I know that the talk shows and the news media has spent all their time discussing the "Arson of the ADF Building" tragedy that took place a couple of days ago and talking about the "El-Familio" group who claims responsibility for this terrorist act in specific detail. The Lord has revealed me that there is a "ADF arson in the Spirit" going on in the Church and the "spiritual El-Familiotite terrorists" in the Church trying to bring this church down will be exposed and defeated Thus saith the Lord. [this 'prophecy' is repeated again and again every time a worse catastrophic tragedy caused by human beings takes place and someone tries to force fit a false prophecy stated 30 years ago into this circumstance claiming God forewarned everyone and no one listened.]
• Oh! You have exposed our perspecitive of Christian manhood as 'wrong'. You therefore disagree with the opinions and 'real' Christianity of the forums administration and therefore you have came against the true 'Official Christian Perspective'. We have never seen in our church what you 'claim' to have seen in your church. Therefore, what you stated does not exist at all and you are a 'liar' and possess 'bitterness'. Therefore, we will show you who has the power of God by enacting the judgement of 'expelling the immoral believer' from our forums by removing your membership. Disagreement with forums administrators is disagreement with God and we must do like Jesus did and cast you out and send your soul to hell. (when the truth is found out, the forum and the perpretator of their shared opinion signed a promotion deal promoting the literature of the televangelist on the website and in that contract was for the forums administration to suppress negative comments about the televangelist.)
• Ham exposed his father's sin and drunkenness, therefore when I the prophet of the river renewal sins, you are supposed to cover up my $45,000 failure to appear in court and pay child support and running to another state to flee law enforcement sins while I publicly expose and humiliate you and your sins in the pulpit in the 'office of the prophet'. Anyone who exposes the river prophet's sins will 'receive the curse of Ham' on their lives.
• God has told us that He will smite down our enemies and those who disagree with us. (Meanwhile behind the scenes, the ministry has an group of people scanning the Internet looking for sites that disagree with the ministry or expose heretical teachings and when these sites are found, they are forwarded to the lawyers to sue the webhost and the site content creator and since these people lack money to defend themselves, they pull the content).

• "We could have bought this bigger building, but you lacked faith and did not give enough money and could not see the large grapes and not see beyond the giants in the land, we need to repent now and go through our wilderness" (then the pastor resigns three weeks later to accept a position at a bigger church).
• This woman wants to lead the choir, women can not lead, therefore, she is "Jezebel". And her "Ahab" husband thinks she is anointed to lead worship.
• I can not believe that our pastor committted adultery with "Annie". I thought she was a nice girl but that little "whore harlot Bathsheeba" in our congregation caused him to sin when she wore those tight fitting spandex aerobic shorts to our church picnic. It's all her fault that the church is now in disarray (not the fact that two people chose to sleep together and that the pastor lied when he told everyone he was 'witnessing on the streets' when he and 'Annie' went to a hotel room thereby covering up one sin of adultery with another sin of lying). Wait a minute, it's also his wife Lisa's fault. If she had been a true Proverbs 31 housewife and cooked all his favorite meals, rubbed his feet nightly, and spent more time ministering and submitting to her man, then our pastor would not have ever thought about adultery at all.
• Elijah told Naaman in 2 Kings 5 to "Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean." People, do you know why many Christians are in the sins, sicknesses, addictions that they feed? I'll tell you why? They are spiritual lepers. They have tried to justify getting out of the wilderness by going to the 'cleaner rivers' of their comfortable churches and trying to dip into their teachings, worship, etc. for answers to their problems. The Lord has shown me that these people need to get into the 'River of God'. It may appear dirty, chaotic, and unorderly but that is where the healings take place. Like the healing can only take place in the dirty water of the Jordan. God's healing can only take place in the 'muddy waters of the River of God' and not the clean waters many churches offer.
• We need to repent for our 'lack of faith'. Our pastor had to have the gall bladder removal surgery when the Bible says we should have healing because of the stripes Jesus bore at Calvary. Our people did not pray enough, praise enough, do enough 'ra-ta-ta' warfare in the Spirit. You dropped the ball, brothers and sisters of the congregation. The money that our pastor would have sowed for his hundredfold blessing went to the doctors and the hospital instead of the prophet of God. The time that could have been used for evangelism and counseling was given to the hospital bed instead of the Great Commission. Now, we expect the congregation to help the pastor for the next six months by mowing his yard, trimming his shrubbery, cook meals for the family, wash the car, vacuum and clean the house, do laundry, paint the shutters, etc. And also you need to pray for the sevenfold restoration of the lost money, souls, and time that you allowed "the great Satan" to steal from this man of God. We will also have a "We Repent For Not Being My Brother's Keeper" repentance service next Sunday morning where every member of the congregation will publically come to the stage, speak into the microphone your sincere apologies to our pastor and his family for lacking faith, not praying hard enough, 'secret sins', 'not warring in the Spirit hard enough', and for all the stress and duress that we have now placed on his family. We will also take up a special love offering after we take up our regular tithe offering that will go to the pastor's family to help offset the cost of surgery.
• You are not out on the streets reaching the lost, repent of being an 'elder brother'
• We Pentecostals and Charismatics are God's chosen remnant, all other denominations are the Pharisees and Saducees and possess 'religious spirits' with biased thinking and cessationistic mentalities. Any city council and law enforcement that does not grant us zoning favors, grant us permits to march in the parade, and responds to noise complaints from the 'sinners' who live next door are of the 'spirit of Rome' that Paul faced throughout the book of Acts.
• We offer our sympathy for losing your baby to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. However, are you now ready to repent of your secret sins or the sins / generational curses of your forefathers that brought this tragedy upon your lives?
• The 'move of God' in 'our renewal' is the exact same manifestations experienced by Johnathan Edwards in the Great Awakening. Therefore, the experiences have more validation than the Scripture and therefore, our renewal has the same anointing as the Great Awakening. It will look strange and kooky, but don't try to touch it if you feel it is falling. In fact, the more kookier and chaotic it appears, the more of God it really is. You see, His ways are not our ways and if it was our way, it would be neat and in order. These cessationistic, religious spirit mainline Pharisee denominations who teach that God is a God of order are liars. The Ark of the Covenant was about to fall off a cart and hit the ground. Uzzah saw this about to happen and because the falling of the Ark was not in his neat and orderly ways touched the Ark of the Covenant and died forever. You touch this move of God and touch the bizarre manifestations to try to keep the presence of the Lord from 'falling' (according to your 'fleshly eyes') and you too will be an Uzzah and spiritually die. Remember, "His ways are not our ways" and if it looks wierd in the eyes of the world, then it is holy and anointed in the heart of God."
• We will march and do the charismatic bunny hop in our church, speak the 'warfare tongue', wave the imaginary swords of the spirit, stake property spikes claiming our land, and so forth. Call us foolish, but we are fools for Christ.
• "I have told you the truth that will set you free. It does not matter if you believe or question what I said or not because it is the truth. Therefore, since you have heard the truth whether you receive the truth or not, you are now held accountable to obey this teaching for the remainder of your days on earth and subject to the wrath of God at judgement day if this teaching is not followed." (This is a selective 'pick and choose' combination of John 8:32 and Hebrews 10:16 widely taught in Charismatic and Word of Faith churches today)
• "So you want to say that what I am preaching is not from God? You need to remember, "Touch Not God's Anointed". Since I have been given responsibility for this congregation and I am the shepherd, you do not have the right to question me nor question God about my being the leader of this church. I am a child of God and I pray, talk to, and hear from God everyday. When you question me, you are actually questioning God. Therefore, to question me is to place your self in rebellion and in opposition to God himself. You, the congregation, know what happens when you are in rebellion. Remember 1 Samuel 15:23 "For rebellion is as of the sin of witchcraft...". Therefore, If you dare to question me, you are in witchcraft and therefore are a witch, and you are to be treated within this church body as a witch and punished the same as witches, mediums, and sorcerers, in the eyes of God..."
• There is some 'secret sin' (actually the pastor's personal tastes that they do not like) in this church that is holding this church back from being the 'true revival center' as prophecied by our overseeing apostle / prophet and I am getting ready to expose it right now. I am getting ready to publically call out some people and you better tell me the truth when I start asking the questions about your sin. My cellphone is fully charged and is on the podium to where I can call 911 for ambulances when liars start dropping dead in our sight. If you lie to me, we are going to see some EMT's come into the sanctuary and remove some dead bodies from this church like Annanias and Sapphira were removed from the assembly of believers in Acts 5 where the Holy Spirit struck some people dead for grieving the Spirit. By the way, in three weeks the apostle / prophet himself will be here to minister to us and you will be greatful for the exposing that I will do now because if you have deep sin in your life three weeks from now, he will discern your sin, publically call you out, expose your secret sins, 'read your mail', and reveal all your private thoughts to the congregation worse than I am doing now .
• "I had a vision of the Lord, the Lord told me that the 'cloud is moving' and it's moving from this little rinky-dink town to Kansas City. If you want to be in God's will, you better 'follow the cloud' by selling your house, quitting your jobs, betraying your family, and moving to Kansas City while I take the money designated for a church in this 'rinky-dink' town we outgrew and take it to Kansas City.
• So you want to believe the lies that the 'secular humanistic devil news media' FBC television network has stated against my ministry on last night's 'Datewatch' television show. Shame on you Christians who watched that show because you shouldn't be watching secular TV. If your television habits were proper by watching the Jesus Channel, then you would not have been subjected to the lies of the 'Hatewatch' television program. Yes I said Hatewatch because their lies means that they hate me, and since I am God's annointed, they hate God also. I tell you, 'Hatewatch' has touched the annointing and the 'so-called Christians' that aided in that 'so-called expose' are per Deuteronomy 23:2 'spiritual bastards' and so are their next ten generations. One day, those 'so called Christians' will regret for ever participating in that expose and making their bed with the devil himself and their descendents will despise their forefathers as they wonder why their children have birth defects, they can never hold down a job, and make ends meet. While I rise up victorious, they will experience sickness, disease, and poverty. Look into my eyes, 'I never lie'. That 'so-called Christian cult deprogrammer' they had to expose me smokes a cigar, therefore he is a fake Christian. They requested an interview but God told me 'no' to where I would not be deceived by that Satan FBC television network. The devil will be very sorry that he had orchestrated the FBC attack on me. Any one who attacks a man of God like me doesn't have the Spirit of God and is not a Christian because the more I am attacked, the more Jesus will annoint me and make me more holy.
• Several people that I know of called that faith bunch out of Tulsa a cult, And some of them are dead right today in an early grave because of it, and there's more than one of them that has died from, currently suffering with, or will eventually succumb to cancer. Cancer is really a physical manifestation of a spiritual problem of bitterness. Why is there not a cure for cancer? Simple, modern science is attempting to solve a deeply rooted spiritual problem of coming against the Lord's annointed and bitterness with physical panaceas. Therefore, when you see cancer in someone's life, that person has at some point in their life came against the Lord's annointed, has not asked for forgiveness, is bitter, and now the cancer is manifesting. The only way to healing is not through medical science, but through repentance and forgiveness of the root sin and bitterness. However, if you disagree with me and question my teachings, you are therefore in bitterness and therefore will one day manifest cancer unless you repent for that bitterness and repent for disagreeing with me and my theology.
• Teenager, you better come up to this old fashioned altar and confess your sin of mocking me and my old time religion to our Most Holy God and experience the salvation of the old rugged cross. I would not run out of this church if I were you, the last teenager that ran out of one of my revival services without confessing his mockery was seen minutes later down the highway with his car wrapped around a big oak tree and his body covered up with the linens from the ambulance stretcher. There were some young people who mocked Elisha in 2 Kings 2:23-25 and were eaten up by a bear. That teenager who mocked me, like those youthful mockers of Elisha, is now in a sinners Hell my friend. If you do not confess all your sins to me, you may be like that teenager and like those young mockers of Elisha and end up dead and in a devil's Hell tonight for the rest of eternity. However, if God grants you mercy to live throughout the night and see the light of day, there is now a curse on your life that will remain on your life and to the fourth generation until you repent for your mockery.
• My Bible tells me to "Be Ye Seperate From The World". What kind of computer does the world system use? Windows computers. Since I am called to be seperate from the world and apart from that one-world, mark of the beast, fleshly, 666, anti-christ system, I will use a iMac to be pure, holy, and blessed in the sight of God. I feel the tingling and the holy ghost goosebumps of the blessings of the Lord and saw the extra jewel in my heavenly crown when I paid cash (credit card is the antichrist system also) for this computer at Computer Depot when I showed the world by not forsaking my heavenly Father by buying this iMac. Hallelujah Thank You Jesus (ronda-konda-shonda-ra-tow-see). And the clerk blessed me when I received the FREE!! mousepad. It was free, therefore, this is of God.
• The church board has decided that we want the building and land on the corner of 5th and Elm Streets. However, the owner has rejected the offer we have made on the land. But the Lord has spoken to me saying that he has already given us this property. The Lord has stated to me that the spiritual warfare team is to walk around this property once for a period of six days and blow shofars. On the seventh day, the church will join the spiritual warfare team, the priests, and the praise and worship team will lead us with shofars singing the chorus "Shout, For He Has Given Us The City" as we walk around the property seven times. The Lord says if we do this, he will defeat the evil property owners who is trying to hold back the Work of the Lord to the point of being forced to give the property to the church for free.
• Received in an e-mail in response to this article Dear sir, Speaking out against the practices you spoke out in this article is equivalent to speaking out against God's church. Maybe before you wrote this article you should have your temper cool down before you ramble on about how awful the church is. All this article is full of 'bitterness' on this 'seemingly' Christian website. It's not the church's fault. I really do not believe that this stuff happens in today's churches. If it did by any happenstance, it's still your fault because you did not possess enough discernment to stay away from these churches. You went to the wrong churches and since you evidently lacked discernment in choosing good churches, this must mean that God's presence was never in your life to begin with.

Are you shocked and disgusted as I am when these teachings that I Corinthians 10:1-11 state are used as intimidation tactics instead of Biblically based examples? Some of you who read this article have the fortunate experience to be in a healthy church where the Old Testament scriptures are used as eamples to warn us. Some of you reading this article have personally heard these same tactics I listed with the same verses used in the same teachings. In fact, some of you could e-mail me with worse examples of abused and twisted scriptures than the ones I had listed. Where does this mentality of intimidation of others through the twisting of Scriptures come from? It is very simple, These actions are not of the Spirit, but of the fleshly nature within us that is at war with the Holy Spirit. When one hears these examples and intimidation tactics, one has to look beyond the religious facade and realize that the 'judgement' mentioned in these tactics (and not the Scriptures) are not the direct judgements from God Almighty. It is the perceivced judgement of the fleshly anger of the messenger who thinks that by being a messenger of God that the messenger's anger is automatically God's anger. This self-righetous anger is fueled more out of our interpretation of a Scriptures or based on what a Pentecostal forefather taught us instead of the true spiritual meaning of that particular scripture.

I find it interesting that this type of thinking also exists with the fleshly manifestation of Islam when the Islamic religious leaders declare 'jihad' on their enemies. If you notice when Islam has ever declared 'jihad' (holy war), the enemy was called per the official decree the 'Great Satan'. The US in the 1970's was deemed as 'great Satan' when we granted the Shah of Iran exile and the Allytollah Kohmeni took control. When Salmon Rushde wrote his book exposing Islam, he was deemed as 'great Satan' and fled for his life. The Osama Bin Laden tapes where jihad was declared on the US and enacted via the 9-11-01 tragedy referred to us as 'great Satan". I find this interesting as two diverse and opposite religions of Christianity and Islam both manifest the same character traits where people who disagree with the pastor / Islamic leader is viewed as 'threatening' and a 'Satan". Where Christianity is the life in the Holy Spirit via the work of Jesus on Calvary, Islam is the fleshly manifestation based on a fleshly act done thousands of years ago by a man of God who did not wait for God's miracle for his wife but instead tried to create the miracle in the flesh. Islam traces it's roots back to Adam and Eve but proudly traces it's ancestry back to Hagar and Ishmael. If you ever read the story of Hagar and Ishmael in Genesis 21, you will discover that Abraham was promised a child back in Genesis 18 through his wife Sarah. Abraham, years earlier in doubt of having a child, decided to have sex with one of Sarah's maidens and she bore a son named Ishmael. Therefore, instead of waiting on the promise of God to manifest a child, Abraham acted out of his fleshly instinct and attempted to manifest the miracle through a fleshly sexual encounter with a maiden instead of his wife. We see in chapter twenty-one of Genesis where Sarah conceived Isaac and years later, we see the fleshly made Ishmael taunt the Spiritual child of promise Isaac. Sarah was so upset that she asked Abraham to kick her out of the household and God spoke to Abraham to send Hagar and Ishmael away. The reason why the Islamic people despise the Jews today is because the Islamic people believe that Abraham's birthright belonged to Ishmael instead of the forefather of Jewish people in Isaac.

But the main war here is between the things of the Spirit and the things of the flesh. In fact, look at the marriages of Isaac and Ishmael. Genesis 21:21 states that Hagar "took a wife for him (Ishmael) from the land of Egypt". The fleshly actions took a wife from Egypt (the world and the flesh) and fleshly manifestations of a wife from a fleshly system of life became one with a man conceived out of a fleshly act to attempt to justify a spiritually prophetic son. Therefore we see flesh align up with flesh. In the life of Isaac, we see an entire chapter of Genesis 24 dedicated to the search of a wife of Isaac where the wife of Isaac had to not come from the carnal Canaanites, but from Abraham's family of righetousness and worshippers of the Lord.

Why have I brought the story of Isaac which represents the things and promises of God and the story of Ishmael which represents the actions of the flesh? Very simple. I wanted to show you the difference between flesh and Spirit. I will now show you the difference between flesh and spirit in relation to these scare tactics that the preachers use to intimidate people into their personal opinions about God instead of teaching us to be imitators of God. We see Jesus tell the disciples in Luke 6:28 to "bless those who curse you and pray for those who spitefully use you". Wow! This is radically different than these intimidation tactics and curses that these preachers pronounce on people who disagree with them or 'touch' them. In fact, we see in Acts 5:38-39 where a man by the name of Gamaliel suggested in reference to the Pharisees coming against the church to "...leave them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing but if it is of God, you can not overthrow it - lest you be found to fight against God".

Instead, what we see is these preachers go against the Bible they love to preach and interpret from and curse, call death upon, wish poverty, sickness, and hard times on those who disagree with them instead of praying for, blessing these people, and letting them go on their way and let God and time dictate whether their disagreements were of God or not. In fact, one famous televangelist recently responded to a newscast that exposed his opulent lifestyle and his refusal to answer questions about healings and orphanages in the first part of his rebuttal with the Acts 5 text previously mentioned but later on told "those Christians who participated" that 'they will be sorry in the day of God's judgement' for exposing them and 'lying'. No, they can not follow the Bible they love and preach from. Instead, they use it to intimidate people from questioning the preacher's actions. Why are these preachers scared of an 'expose'? Are they afraid that there is some truth to these exposes that if found out would bankrupt them? Why can't these preachers apply Luke 6:38 and Acts 5:38-39 and just go forward and onward. No, they have to scare people to believing that God has a special judgement for those who do not like them because to their eyes, not liking them is the equivalent to not liking God.

Instead of letting God do his job and fulfill His promises to these intimidating televangelists like God wanted to sow a son to Sarah originally, these intimidators decide to rush the 'judgement of God' (if God really is judging these disagreers for really lying) like Abraham rushed the conception of a child and conceive the judgement and damnations like the way Hagar conceived Ishmael. Like the fleshly attempt of taking an Egyptian (worldly and fleshly) maiden and conceiving a child to fulfill a spiritual promise, the intimidating televangelists have sowed and conceived a fleshly theology in order to fulfill a spiritual promise to defeat their rightful enemies (and not the disagreeing who do expose truth). One day, the Scripture breathed and conceived by God will mistakenly be taunted by the imitating theology arising of the flesh and God will cast that intimidator and taunter and his fleshly intimidation and scare tactics out from His midst in order for the God inspired Scripture and Truth to be shown.

Even though I have shown how Luke 6:38 and Acts 5:38-39 are to be used to answer those who disagree and curse you. I want to show the fleshly relationship of the concept of 'cursing those who disagree' in relation to the similarities of Ishmael and to his descendents who compose of the majority of worshippers who embrace Islam. In the actions of the intimidating televangelist, the real motive is not to see God at work destroying His enemies, the real motive is to enact a fleshly revenge against those who disagree with his personal opinions made corporate theology. This revenge mentality is also prevalent throughout the facets of Islam. Where the Islamic people proclaim 'Jihad (holy war)' against those perceived as their enemies, these pastors who use these intimidation tactics and twisted scriptures and attempt to Christianize the concept of Jihad to justify wiping out the ones who disagree with them. Instead of being Biblical and follow Luke 6:38 and Acts 5: 38-39, they get in the flesh and war against those they disagree with or may possess truth that would hold up the spread of their selfish and personal ideologies. As Jihad is a required act within Islam per the Koran, the Christian televangelists who intimidate those who disagree with their 'judgements' have wrongly turned the Christian intimidation tactics via the twisting of Scriptures as the required mandate of the Bible when the Bible clearly tells us otherwise what to do. Like the Islamic requirement of a Muslim to make war on the unbelievers (non-Muslims) until they either accept Islam or you kill them, these same televangelists who love to intimidate believe that it is their God given mandate to declare and fight war against other Christians who disagree until they either see things the televangelists way or the televangelists raise enough money to buy up tv and radio time to propogate their teachings to where other Christians with different opinions can not speak their words of truth. Or what is worse is when something bad (sickness, death, loss of a child, an accident, their house burned down, etc) does happen to a person who disagrees and the televangelist has the nerve to call it 'the wrathful judgement of God' or the 'fulfillment of God's prophecy' and praise God and 'ronda-konda-shonda' thinking God loved them so much (and placing themselves on the equivalency of God) that God destroyed and judged the disagreeing means that the intimidation tactics and viewpoints are God's viewpoints..

Since I have discussed the spiritual principle of Acts 5:38-39 and Luke 6:38 and shown them as the way to handle those who disagree and have now related the conception of these intimidation tactics to the concept of a fleshly act in Ishmael, I want to show you what Islam has to say about what to do with those who disagree. In the Koran chapter 5 and verse 33, it is stated:

"Those that make war against Allah and his apostle and spread disorders in the land shall be put to death or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, or be banished from the country."

Here is what the intimidators called pastors have done 'in the name of God':

"Those that make war against an intimidating televangelist and his apostle and exposed the truth in the land shall be cursed, dammned, riddled with Cancer, poor, in eternal poverty to the fourth generation, put to spiritual death, pronounced 'heretic' and / or have their voices be silenced through the use of lawsuits and collusion with other well known intimidating televangelists and / or be banished from Christianity and eventually Heaven.".

Koran chapter 66 and verse 3 states:

"Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate".

The pastors and televangelists who intimidate others with curses, etc. have done this 'in the name of God':

"(self-proclaimed) Prophet, make war on the disagreers, unbelievers, and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate".

Therefore, they have not obeyed the Bible of Christianity. Instead, they have obeyed the holy book of the Koran of God's enemy Islam.

Therefore, these scare tactics, twisted scriptures, curses for disagreeing with the Pastor's personal and opinionated ideology come from the fleshly and manifest similar traits to the religion of Islam they detest. It was the late Ayatolah Komeni in Iran that deemed the term 'great Satan' to the mindset of Western Civilization because he saw it as a threat to Islam and used it to come against the United States. How many televangelists who use intimidation and scare tactics refer to those who disagree with them as 'great Satans' in order to 'raise money', 'pronounce death and curses', and 'bring people into subjection' to their teaching? Therefore, when many of these televangelists use these same tactics, they act like the dreaded Ayatolah's in their pronouncements. How can these intimidators crucify their flesh and become more in line with the Scriptures and use them as examples instead of intimidation tactics? Very simple. By renouncing their wrong teachings as fleshly manifestations and embrace the Truth of the Scriptures where they bless those that curse them, pray for those that use them, and let go and let God bless their teaching if it is real or let their teaching die if it is false.

I could really go on and on at especially how many Old Testament scriptures are abused and misused in this type of fashion. Instead of the verses being used as the examples of what not to do to become a better imitator of Christ, these verses are used to intimidate people into fear, paranoia, giving excessive amounts of money. Instead of focusing their prayers on asking God to mold me into his Image, we pray to forgive us from our "sin of Judas" and protect us from the "Sauls" out there who want to do things 'their' way and not 'our way' (reminding you that we think 'our' way is automatically "God's" way). What are pastors having altar calls for and people repenting over; for wearing the badge of these labels of a 'Judas", "Absalom", etc. when we should be repenting for the traits and actions of our carnality? The situation gets worse when 'prophets' use these same alleGORIES to bring forth a 'repentance' of a character trait that some pastor did not like. A true prophet edifies the church, not be a constant celebrity gossip session of "I the Lord has seenth thy life and you have lacketh faith and not put enough money in the plateth. You hath robbeth God and therefore you are an Ichabod, a Judas, an Achan. You have also disagreeth with the pastor and therefore 'touch the Lord's anointed'. Because you disagreeth with the pastor, you are a 'spiritual Cain' and a murderer of the leader. Thus saith the Lord." As I was writing this article, I received an e-mail from a 'river revivalist' who stated that people "who come to a great conference, get healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, get thoroughly touched by God and then, head right back to the dead dumb dry church while complaining that their church is as dry as a wilderness, but refuse to leave it" manifests 'the Jonathan Spirit' (based in 1 Samuel 20 40-42). According to this gentleman, "In other words, Jonathan likes to visit with the new but always goes back to the place of his comfort zone. Why? BECAUSE HE WANTS TO! People that are in dry churches are there because they want to be there." He even went to state that it was because Jonathan chose to go back to Saul that caused Jonathan to die instead of Old Testament punishments where God killed the entire family lineage that manifested evil.

Where am I going with this? Very simple. We as Christians have failed to see these scriptures as the examples that warn us. Sometimes we twist the scriptures to the point of interpreting them radically different from their original meaning. Instead, we use the scriptures to deem names to people. Instead of accepting the fact that "I am John Doe, a person who has robbed God of their tithes" and try to help and correct John in order to help John start paying tithes, the Pentecostals and Charismatics have gone out and said "John Doe, YOU ARE JUDAS!!!!!!" and / or "John Doe has the 'demon of Judas' inside of him." See the difference here? We have gone from taking the scriptures that show us of wrongdoing and what can happen to us to the point of substituting the person's name in the scriptures. Is John Doe, in actuality, Judas? No. John Doe is still John Doe. However, there may be character traits (physical and /or spiritual and in extreme cases a demonic manifestation) similar to the actions of Judas that may be at work in his life at that present time. This does not mean John Doe is Judas. It means that John Doe needs the grace of God and the power of supernatural deliverance to allow John to overcome and be set free from the same habits, sin patterns, etc. that Judas manifested centuries ago.

If the Pentecostal / Charismatic concept of deeming names of people was correct, then the Apostle Paul would have had to call Annanias and Sapphira "Achans" in Acts 5, verses 3 through 10. Such men mentioned at the end of Paul's letters such as Diotrephes in 3 John 9 who did not recognize Paul's authority and wanted to be a leader would have been labeled as "Spiritual Absalom". Alexander the Coppersmith (2 Timothy 4:14) would have been deemed as "An Aaron". Hymenaeus (1 Timothy 1:18-20 and 2 Timothy 17-18) and Philetus (2 Timothy 17-18) would have to been labeled as "spiritual Ahabs, Abihus and Nadabs". How many Pentecostal / Charismatic churches call their people 'the spirit of Diotrephes"? But they will call someone a 'spiritual Judas, Absalom, Miriam, Balaam", etc. The theology is not consistent. If they use one Biblical example to call someone the "spiritual (insert Bible character here)", then they have to use all the Biblical characters. However, Paul called these sinful people mentioned in the end of some of his letters what they were, teachers of deception, usurpers of authority, and rebellious. Paul did not try to call them 'the spirit of some Old Testament person'. Neither did Jesus. So why do we do such nonsense by stating "brother so-and-so has a Ahab spirit?" Very simple, it sounds more 'spiritual' and more 'holy' but in reality, it's an misapplication of the scripture. True Christians really have no desire to manifest sinful traits like these sinners manifested. Therefore, instead of stating that acting like these men and manifesting their character traits is not imitating Christ? The instilling of a 'fear of allowing in the spirit of an evil Bible character' drives people to a works based conformity of Scripture instead of a grace based following to be like Jesus.
