Note Before I proceed with part two, I clearly understand that there is a need for some order and leadership within a church. Acts 1 was the site of the first board meeting to decide who was going to replace Judas. Throughout Acts, Paul told the Apostles what to do and the Apostles designated people to perform the tasks needed. I am NOT!! promoting Christian Anarchy! Instead, I am desiring to bring back Church Leadership that is based and operated on the principles of God's Word, not the latest trends and methods laid out by corporate America. I also want you to that I am a Republican by CHOICE!! Not because some scare prophet threatened to send me to Hell if I did not become one.
In a MLM system, everyone is convinced that they are at or near the top of the newest scheme to bring in more money. The people participating are told that it takes money to make money. Therefore, you (usually by invitation) were invited usually by someone higher than you in the pyramid scheme to participate in this money making opportunity usually by being a distribitor of some product with some of the profits going in the pockets of the distributor. After you learn how to sell and set up distribution channels, you go out and find people under you that will do the legwork of making the money that will sell and distribute the product and force the cash flow back to your hands prior to the people under you seeing their money. You as a distributor are also under this system because your source above you sees his share of the money before you get to see your share of the money. As you get more and more people to be your distributors and those people get others to become buyers and distributors, the base of the pyramid broadens, more levels are created below you, and it appears that you have moved up to a higher level on the pyramid scheme. Therefore the rooting of the foundations are from the top going down. The corporate church of today has applied the same principles to church building and growth. We have made God into a 30 minute infomercial where we can get rich both finacially and Spiritually at the snap of our fingertips if we "name it and claim it", buy pastor so-and-so's ten part teaching series on getting rich quick, or "get the 'godkind' of faith". To not suceed in this means that you are either not annointed or you "lack faith". We have built churches with the same type of structure. We have started at the top and worked the pyramid down to create more "spiritual levels" based on annointings and positions within the church. Jesus clearly showed us in Luke 6:45-49 about foundations. he said that the man who comes and listens to Jesus and obeys him is like a man who built his house on a deep foundation of rock. The floods came and the house stayed. The man who does not listen and obey is like a man who did not build a foundation. The floods came and the house was destroyed. And what a terrible crash that was. In proper spiritual foundations, the leadership flows from top to bottom, but the foundation goes from the bottom to the top with the senior leadership ultimately responsible for the whole foundation. In many churches operating out of this concept, structure and authority levels are over emphasized because the foundation of the church is very shaky. Organizational charts are rampant and everyone knows via the layout of the organizational chart who is what within that particular church body. In a church body where the foundation is properly laid out and the annointing flows, there is no need for organizational charts. By the flow of the annointing manifesting in the church, it is easy to see who is the pastor/leader, who is the psalmist, prophet, etc. Authority is not hoarded and emphasized over people, but is known by the Spirit of God residing within that particular church body.
In the old days of church leadership, the pastor "did it all". He shephered the congregation. He mowed the lawn. He visited the sick and his wife usually played the piano and cleaned the church for a meager salary slightly below the poverty level. It was not the money that motivated these dear pastoral couples of God to minister. These couples saw the calling upon their lives as a mandated objective mission prompted by a vision from the Holy Spirit. In todays corporate/MLM church, the pastor expects to have a church provided Cadillac and live in a mansion of splendor. At the same time, the staff works two jobs to barely make ends meet and the load of responsibilities is assigned by your position in the spiritual pyramid. It is also in most of these corporate/MLM churches that the pastor is usually never available or around for phone calls on the weekdays unless the elders, other staff, denominational headquarters, or other pastors call. In this environment, the more money and/or souls you bring in the congregation along in some cases, being more "Religious Republican Right" makes you: (1): More "annointed" (2): Higher up on the corporate/MLM pyramid (3): Gain easier access to church leadership and the pastor when needed. (4): More opportunities to advance up the pyramid, and (5): Obtain "fairer justice" when accused falsely or truly in a dispute involving other church members lower than you in the pyramid. In this same environment, the less numbers and money and in some cases less "Religious Republican Right" brings the opposite in terms of being viewed as (1): Less "annointed" (2): Lower down on the corporate/MLM pyramid (3): Limited access to church leadership and the pastor when needed. (4): Less opportunities to advance up the pyramid, and (5): Obtain little or no "fair justice" when accused falsely or in a dispute involving other church members higher than you in the pyramid.
Instead of true Biblical unity, we see the divisive spirit of competition take place to move up our position within the pyramid. Instead of coming together to advance the cause of His Kingdon. We come against each other for our own selfish gains in the name of moving up within the pyramid. Therefore, we learn of our position within the church pyramid and in the name of advancing our position within the corporate/MLM pyramid, we create another pyramid of self with ourself as head of the pyramid. This creates a structure like this:
In a corporate/MLM church setting, We have a pyramid scheme of our own within the larger pyramid scheme. But the thing we fail to see is that in this environment of fierce competition, we teach others within our pyramid scheme to create their own pyramid schemes. In theory, the creation of pyramid schemes whether the main pyramid or pyramids within the main pyramid can go on and tier down for infinity. In reality, the average pyramid in the spirit goes down between six to ten levels depending on the church environment. Therefore, the possibility exists that someone with a pyramid scheme within our pyramid scheme can exceed our works fueled by competition to the point of their pyramid scheme either engulfing our pyramid scheme to now be a part of their pyramid scheme or we get "left out" when that person's sphere of influence moves up the bigger pyramid. Therefore, the system becomes like the picture below. In this diagram, the yellow pyramid represents the local church. The green pyramid represents a person with that tier of the yellow pyramid. The blue pyramid represents the pyramids of the people within our pyramid scheme.
Here is where we fail to see the even bigger picture. In a church that is under submission to a particular denomination group, that church is within certain tiers of "accepance and annointing" within the denomination's pyramid scheme. Look at the diagram below:
Can you see the bigger picture now. The purple represents the denomination. The yellow pyramid represents the local church. The green pyramid represents a person with that tier of the yellow pyramid. The blue pyramid represents the pyramids of the people within our pyramid scheme. Logic will now dictate that you would no ask the following question. "Is heaven like this?" God forbid. The Word of God clearly states that we are His bride. Therefore, we are equal in Heaven and not subjected to this type of pyramid scheme laid forth by the corporate/MLM church.
